An app that remembers what you already have at home

Photograph a receipt once and the items are read out of it. Drag them onto places like the fridge or the pantry and they are filed. Add an expiry date and Itne tells you before the food turns.

There is no sign-in. Your item list lives on your device.

Itne is built for Korea. The interface is in Korean. Amounts are read in Korean won, and the receipt reader was not designed for receipts in other currencies.

Frequently asked questions

The receipt isn’t read correctly

Flatten the receipt, use good light, and make sure the whole receipt fits in the frame. Creases and shadows smear the characters. Thermal-paper receipts fade over time, so they read best on the day you get them.

Some items came out wrong

You can fix them on the review screen before saving — name, quantity, place and expiry date are all editable there, and you can untick any line you don’t want. After saving, tap an item to change it at any time.

Scanning doesn’t work

How many scans are free?

30 receipt scans per month, refilled on the 1st of each month. Adding items by hand, organising them and receiving expiry reminders are unlimited.

I’m not getting notifications

Reminders are only sent for items that have an expiry date. How many days ahead and at what time is set under Settings → expiry reminders in the app.

If they still don’t arrive, check that notifications are allowed for Itne — iOS: Settings → Notifications → Itne. Android: Settings → Apps → Itne → Notifications.

My devices show different lists

iPhone and iPad sync through iCloud between your own devices. Check that both are signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud on and have an internet connection. The first sync takes a little while.

Android does not sync. Records stay on that device, and Android and iPhone are never matched up with each other.

How do I move an item to another place?

Press and hold the item and drag it onto a place tile. To move several at once, tap Select above the unsorted list, choose them, then move them together. You can also open an item and pick its place there.

I can’t remember what it was called

Korean initial consonants are enough — typing “ㄱㅈㅈ” finds 건전지 (batteries). Words you wrote in the memo field are searched too.

What is different on iPad?

On iPad the Items tab opens as a sorting station: things that have no place yet on the left, place boxes on the right, which makes dragging much easier.

Can I use my own API key?

Yes — Settings → receipt parsing → API key & model switches from the Itne server to a key you issued yourself. The monthly limit of 30 then does not apply and the cost is billed to that account. The key is stored encrypted on your device and is never sent to the Itne server.

Will my records move to a new device?

iPhone and iPad — yes, through iCloud sync and backup, as long as you use the same Apple Account.

Androidno. There is no backup, so deleting the app or changing device loses the records for good.

Contact

Bug reports, feature requests, anything at all — write to contact@fountlab.co.kr. We reply within two or three business days. Korean and English are both fine.

Your item list is on your device, so we cannot see it. Telling us your device model, OS version and which screen it happened on makes it far quicker to track down.
